Cheyenne Frontier Days Restructures Leadership
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) ―
Cheyenne Frontier Days is restructuring its leadership to be more efficient and professional.
Within a few months, the CFD Board of Directors plans to hire a chief executive officer and eliminate the executive director position.
The CEO job will be a full-time, paid position.
CFD Board President Jim Ward says the change is an effort to bring some consistency and cohesiveness to the annual rodeo celebration.
The current system changes the leadership position every three years, which causes problems with long-term contracts and vendors.
Ward says the change to a CEO will leave one go-to person to run day-to-day operations.
