DENVER (AP) ― A summer thunderstorm has left the El Paso County courthouse missing some of its roof.

Parts of the courthouse roof were ripped off by high winds, but there were no reports of injuries from the Friday afternoon storm. Crews were assessing the damage Friday evening.

The storm left an estimated 1,300 Colorado Springs homes without power. A spokeswoman for the El Paso County Sheriff's Office said that a 5th floor courtroom was flooded.

Colorado Springs Police say weather is being blamed for two three-car wrecks Friday afternoon. No one was hurt in those accidents.
