Rains Flood 6 Denver Apartments, Affect 64 Units

A number of people had to clean out their basements at their apartments on South Cherry Creek Drive on Thursday.

The American Red Cross is offering financial aid to people in 64 Denver apartments affected by a flood after heavy thunderstorms.
The Mile High Chapter of the Red Cross says fast-moving storms Thursday left six of the apartments under 4 feet of water, and a total of 64 units were affected by high water.
One person stayed at a Red Cross shelter overnight. Others stayed with friends, family or elsewhere.
