DENVER (AP) ― Most people in Evergreen, Conifer and Sedalia have power again.

Thousands of Xcel and IREA customers were in the dark until Monday night.

The utilities say they had a difficult time getting to downed lines because of the snow and a lot of the homes are in remote areas where the terrain is rough.

Some crews had to use snowshoes to get to downed power lines.

Xcel said they had 52 crews working to restore power on Tuesday.
