Six sticks of old dynamite turned up near a century-old shed in Frisco, where contractors clearing brush found the dynamite wrapped in newspaper.
The dynamite was wrapped in a roll of newspaper dated 1926. Workers discovered the dynamite Wednesday morning while clearing brush and wood from the backyard of a home. It was sitting behind a log near a 102-year-old shed.
Workers called authorities, and the Jefferson County Bomb Squad destroyed the dynamite. Three blocks in Frisco were briefly evacuated during the cleanup.
