Carmelo Anthony's Written Apology

Anthony Was Arrested Tuesday For Alleged DUI In Denver

DENVER (AP) ― Carmelo Anthony shared the following written statement on Tuesday in conjunction with his on-camera comments at the Pepsi Center Tuesday:

I want to apologize to my family, fans and the Denver Nuggets organization for my actions early Monday morning. As a leader, I know they expect a lot from me and I regret putting myself in this situation. I also want to apologize to my teammates for the distraction this has caused.

Right now, I need to focus on my family and on basketball as my priorities.

I want to thank everyone who has continued to support me during this difficult time.

My attorneys have asked that I not comment further; however, I will continue to cooperate with all parties involved.
