Moss Returns To Broncos After 3-Day Absence

Arnie Stapleton, AP Sports Writer
ENGLEWOOD (AP) ― Denver Broncos pass-rusher Jarvis Moss has returned to camp after a three-day furlough to mull retirement.

Moss, who missed five practices while deciding whether he still wanted to play pro football, returned to the team for its lone workout Tuesday.

If he had stayed away, Moss might have been asked to return $3.6 million of his signing bonus to the Broncos. Now, if he gets cut later this month, he won't owe them anything.

Moss, who has just 3 1/2 sacks in his career after being selected with the 17th overall draft pick out of Florida in 2007, is deep down on the depth chart at outside linebacker in the Broncos' new 3-4 scheme.

He slid even further Tuesday with the arrival of first-round draft pick Robert Ayers.
