DENVER (CBS4/AP) ―
The legal troubles are over for Denver Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall.
Prosecutors dropped charges against Marshall, who had faced domestic abuse charges and false imprisonment charges after an incident with his girlfriend in March.
An Arapahoe County District Attorney's spokesperson said the charges were dropped after Marshall completed anger management classes.
Attorney Harvey Steinberg said the charge was dismissed Friday in a Douglas County court.
Marshall was arrested in March after a woman who identified herself as his girlfriend said Marshall had used his vehicle to block her taxi as she tried to leave his home in the Highlands Ranch development south of Denver.
She said they had been arguing.
"I think when a complete investigation was done and all the facts were brought to light, it was clear why Brandon did what he did," Steinberg said. "They (prosecutors) agreed to take a second look and came to this conclusion."
A police report said the woman told investigators that after blocking the taxi, Marshall jumped out his car and ran to the taxi's passenger window, punching it and calling the woman names.
Marshall denied hitting the window and told officers he was trying to get his cell phone back, the report said. He said he'd loaned it to her because her cell phone was being repaired.
The driver of the taxi reversed the car and managed to get around Marshall's vehicle, the report said.
