Henry Fonda twice took a turn as president. In 1964's "Fail-Safe," he confronts a mistake which orders U.S. air forces to launch a nuclear attack on Moscow. In 1939's "Young Mr. Lincoln," Ford plays the Kentucky lawyer during his move to Springfield, Ill., courtship of future first lady Mary Todd, and early work fighting for the right cause before politics.
