'Step Up For Kids' Rally Held At State Capitol
DENVER (CBS4) ―
People who stand up for children want to make sure kids aren't forgotten during the upcoming election.
Several children's organizations joined state lawmakers at the Capitol Tuesday for the "Step Up For Kids Rally."
The non-partisan event is an effort to educate candidates about investing in children this November.
"During this period of economic and financial difficulty we need to look critically at how we care for our children on a local level, a state level, and a national level," Dr. Stephen Berman with The Children's Hospital said.
There were similar rallies in all 50 states.
