Fifteen black bears rescued from two separate places in Ohio are now living in Colorado. The bears arrived Saturday at the Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg. They were hauled back in cages from two shelters in Ohio that were declared unfit and unsafe.

Ankole Watusi Cattle @ Denver Zoo

The first Ankole Watusi cattle to live at the Denver Zoo arrived in early June. Ralph, Alice and Trixie are all named after characters from The Honeymooners. The African cattle are related to Texas longhorns.

Mountain Lion Tranquilized

For the second time in a week, a mountain lion was tranquilized and removed from a Boulder neighborhood. The Boulder Daily Camera reported the animal was to be taken back to the foothills and released.
