Man Suspected Of Animal Cruelty Appears In Court

STRATTON, Colo. (CBS4) ― A man at the center of an animal cruelty investigation was advised of the charges against him in court Tuesday.

Investigators said Troy Tagtmeyer, 34, ran a kennel just north of Stratton. Agents found 40 dead dogs and several others in poor health at the kennel.

Tagtmeyer faces animal cruelty, neglect and abuse charges.

Bond for Tagtmeyer was set at $25,000.

Investigators said other arrests are possible.
