3 Denver Schools Visit, Help Windsor Day Care

WINDSOR, Colo. (CBS4) ―

Some students in the Denver area are paying it forward this week to children affected by the tornadoes in northern Colorado.

Students from three Denver metro area Primrose schools drove to Windsor on Tuesday armed with stuffed animals.

They wanted to do something to help the children from the Windmill Child Enrichment Center.

The center's building was badly damaged on May 22 when the tornado slammed the town. The staff followed an evacuation plan to the T and luckily no one was hurt.

Along with all the teddy bears and Winnie the Poo bears, the Primrose students also handed over a check for $2,719.67.

The children raised the money through various fundraisers.

The Windsor children and their families were very thankful.
