She lost her home in last month's Boulder wildfire, now a 78-year-old llama rancher says she's floored by the offers of help still rolling in.
One Lakewood woman is paying it forward with a big ticket item -- a car. The CBS4 viewer saw the story of Bobra Goldsmith and all that she'd lost. So she immediately called CBS4 and said she had a car to give to Goldsmith. On Monday Goldsmith arrived to pick up her present.
The blaze left only a medal skeleton of Goldsmith's car after burning down the garage. What mattered most to the devout llama-lover is that her 100-plus animals all survived.
"I'm getting the goose bumps," Goldsmith said. "Everybody is so helpful and generous."
Her initial car concern was whether the 50-pound sacks of grain for the llamas would fit inside.
"It's got a nice big trunk," she said.
The two women, who just met, have already planned their next get together at Goldsmith's place to see the llamas.
