NEW YORK (AP) ― Wall Street is closing the week with a rally after results from companies like Citigroup and Google helped ease anxiety about corporate profits in a slowing economy. The major stock indexes at times rose more than 2 percent.

Citigroup reported a big loss, but brought no big surprises. Google helped buoy investors with a larger profit than expected.

The Dow Jones industrials are up about 230 points at the 12,850 level.
