Who Is Googling You? Ziggs Knows

DENVER (CBS4) ― A social networking Web site offers users the chance to track down who is Googling them online. A free membership to Ziggs allows users to get instant emails everytime someone Googles them and checks out their profile.

CBS4 spoke with two people who highly recommend Ziggs for professional and personal reasons. It can help users get back in touch with old friends and also improve their businesses presence on Internet by learning more about who is looking for the service they offer.

Marilyn Kal-Hagan and her partner Tim Brown run two businesses out of their Denver home.

Ziggs alerts them to where the searcher is located, what time the search occurred and what key words were used in the search.

Once they get a nibble, they can spend time marketing to the people they know have some level of interest in their businesses.

Brown also has a common name, so he pays Ziggs $4.95 a month to have his name elevate to the top of Google and Yahoo search results.

"I compete with Tim Brown the all pro football player, so it's very hard for me to be number one on Google," he said.

Kal-Hagan said Ziggs has also helped her social life as she plans her high school reunion.

"And I think it's fun for some of my old classmates," she said. "You know, when they're Googling my name, then up pops, 'oh, there's that old lady.'"
