DENVER (AP) ― Firefighters along the Front Range and on the West Slope have been dealing with a series of small wildfires fueled in part by Colorado's hot, dry weather.

Berthoud and Loveland firefighters contained a 50-acre wildfire near Carter Lake in Larimer County Friday. Authorities say a spark from a tractor started the blaze.

A 6-acre fire being investigated as arson burned the side of a house in Highlands Ranch. Fireworks were blamed for a 1-acre fire near a subdivision in Arapahoe County.

Grand Junction fire crews got help from the Bureau of Land Management Friday to put out a 3-acre fire caused by a spark as two men worked on a car.
