DENVER (CBS4) ― There was a lot of rain for the Front Range and the plains on Thursday afternoon. The same scenario will once again crop up for Friday as well.

That moisture flow remains in place for Friday. Some areas will see strong storms and others may see nothing more than a sprinkle.

Temperatures for Friday will be in the low 80s with cloud cover and those afternoon and evening thunderstorms. That pattern will be in place through the rest of the holiday weekend.

For Saturday and Sunday, highs will be in the low to mid 80s and chances for those storms.

Then conditions turn warmer and drier as we begin next week -- there will be only isolated late storms with highs nearing 90.
