DENVER (CBS4) ― No record high for Friday, but we still did set a record... What?

The high for Friday was 75 and the record high for the date was 78, so no record there.

However, our low this morning was a very mild 49 degrees - so mild in fact that it was the warmest low ever recorded on this date. So we set a "record high minimum". The old 'warmest low' was 46 in 1915.

Now cooler air begins to invade the state for the weekend. Saturday's high will be in the upper 60s but still with plenty of sunshine. More clouds on Sunday and a high in the low 60s.

Monday will have a slight chance for showers and cooler still - high in the upper 40s. Still, not bad for a Monday night Bronco game.

As we look ahead into the rest of next week, upper 50s with partly cloudy skies for Tuesday and Wednesday. Then a chance for showers and turning colder for the end of the week - mid 40s by Friday.
