Possible Change In Taste Of Water For Boulder

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) ― Residents in Boulder may notice a change in the taste of their water Thursday.

Officials said the slight change in taste will happen because the Utilities Division will bring the Boulder Reservoir Water Treatment Plant back into service.

The change will affect customers in north and central Boulder, and in Gunbarrel.

"The possible changes are due to water source chemistry differences between the Boulder Reservoir Plant and the Betasso Water Treatment Plant," officials said in a prepared statement.

Officials said there are no known health hazards that come with the change in taste.
