The Olympic velodrome in Colorado Springs offers a lesson which leaves cyclists spinning in circles.
The variety of classes offered there by the Colorado Velodrome Association teach cyclists how to ride a bowl with 33 degree walls at each end.
Three experienced track riders taught the class CBS4's Greg Moody attended in his attempt to become a very fast rider. Steve Truesdale, Ron Hargrave and Rich Voss took charge of the 12 riders who would attend four sessions.
The riders were young and old, athletic and not, but all wanted the adventure of riding a single-track bike in circles.
Their best advice is to ride in a smooth, straight line around the track.
The first rides went slowly, but by the end of the course the members should be racing around the velodrome trying to beat each other in what is commonly thought of as one of cycling's most demanding events.
