Search Ensues After Driver Fires Shots At Trooper
COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (CBS4) ―
Police on Friday morning were looking for a man who fired shots at a state trooper.
The incident happened just before 1 a.m. A Colorado State Patrol trooper had pulled an SUV over near 72nd and Holly in Commerce City. The driver took off and led troopers on a short chase.
A passenger inside jumped out at one point.
The driver then crashed a few blocks away, got out, fired a gun at the trooper and ran away. The trooper was not hit.
Police are looking for both the driver and the passenger.
