Englewood Train Crash Injures Woman In Car

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) ― An 84-year-old woman was injured late Wednesday morning when she drove into the path of a slow-moving train in Englewood.

The crash happened near Dartmouth and Shoshone. That's west of the South Platte River and Santa Fe Drive.

Dartmouth was closed in the area.

Authorities said the woman failed to see a flag-man and drove into the path of the train. Even though the train was going about 5 mph, the car was pushed about 50 feet on the tracks.

The injuries were described as minor.

There was no word on how long the area would be closed to traffic.
