Springs Soldier Dies From Combat Wounds In Iraq

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) ― The Department of Defense says a soldier from Colorado Springs was killed in combat in Iraq.

The military said Monday that Spc. Benjamin K. Brosh died Friday from injuries he suffered when an improvised bomb struck his vehicle.

Brosh, 22, died at Forward Operating Base Anaconda in Balad. The explosion was in Paliwoda.

Brosh was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Ky.
