Cool Air Moves Into Denver With Scattered Showers
DENVER (CBS4) ―
A cold front dips into Colorado Thursday brining some cooler weather and chances for rain showers along the Front Range during the day. Cloud cover and upslope conditions will keep temperatures in the 40s during the day.
Rain was falling north of Denver along the Foothills during the morning hours with snow at higher elevations to the west and along the Interstate 70 corridor.
Snow could be seen falling near the Loveland Pass exit on I-70 at 6 a.m. The Colorado Department of Transportation later issued chain restrictions over Loveland Pass which remained in effect at 11 a.m.
Denver will see mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers during the day and highs in the mid 40s.
A slight chance of rain continues in the evening.
Friday will bring more sunshine and highs in the lower 50s. Saturday will bring a great start to the weekend with highs in the upper 60s and plenty of sunshine.
Another chance of rain and snow comes Saturday evening into Sunday. Sunday will be cooler with a high around 50 and mostly cloudy skies.
Monday will start the week with highs in the upper 40s and cloudy skies.
