The Denver Police Department has released the names and pictures of sex offenders who have failed to register with them on its Web site.

The City and County of Denver has 1,490 registered sex offenders and 104 have failed to register, Det. Sharon Avendaño said in a prepared statement.

Go to a special section of denvergov.org to view pictures of the sex offenders.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the offenders is asked to contact the Denver Police Department at (720) 913-2000 or Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-STOP (7867).
