Vail Suspends Employee For Ski Lift Bottom Photos

 Ski Report: Trails & Conditions
VAIL, Colo. (AP) ― A photographer who snapped pictures of a man dangling upside down during a mishap on a ski lift at Vail, his bottom exposed, has been suspended from his job of taking souvenir photos.

Photos of the unidentified man who was rescued from the lift on Jan. 1 caused a sensation on Web sites.

Chief Financial Officer Dick Roy Friday of SharpShooter Imaging says photographer Marty Odom used company equipment to snap the photos and breached company policy by releasing the images.

Odom, in a blog post, has said he was not working and shot the pictures with his own camera.

Odom did not return a message left by The Associated Press.
