Police shut down portions of Aurora Sunday to clear the way for 3,000 motorcycles carrying precious cargo. They were part of the toy drive for The Children's Hospital.
All of the riders came bearing gifts on the backs of their bikes. The event has been going on for nearly 30 years.
This year, there were 4,000 riders. Some just dropped off toys, but others carried them into the hospital and hand-delivered them to sick children.
The children who felt well enough were allowed to go downstairs in wheelchairs and wagons to meet the riders who brought them gifts.
Many of the riders have participate year after year because they say it's so rewarding.
"It chokes you up, it brings tears to your eyes and it's just, in a way, it's more than words can say," Mark Fraser from Littleton said. "I'm glad to be a part of it and I look forward to many more times to come out and do this again."
The gifts will be handed out to the children up until Christmas. Some will be put in a store so that parents can go and hand select the perfect presents for their children.
