More Marijuana Plants Seized In National Forest

SEDALIA, Colo. (AP) ― More marijuana has been found growing in a national forest, but authorities don't know who is behind the latest find.

Authorities on Friday seized about 4,000 marijuana plants from a remote part of the San Isabel/Pike National Forest in Douglas County. The plants were removed by the Air National Guard and the National Forest Service.

No suspects have been connected to the latest marijuana operation found in a national forest. Last month, federal agents found a large marijuana operation in Pike National Forest in Jefferson County and arrested two men.

Parks officials also closed a section of Sequoia National Park in California after finding about $20 million worth of marijuana plants there.
