Voters Recall Jackson County Treasurer
WALDEN, Colo. (CBS4) ―
The treasurer in Jackson County was recalled in a special election Tuesday.
The vote was 354 to 218 to recall Jamie Crocket.
Those who pushed the recall effort said Crocket allowed the loss of more than $700,000 in county funds.
Crocket said there was no loss of county funds, but added that she is not an accountant.
The district attorney has investigated the claims and turned the case over to a special prosecutor it determine if charges are warranted.
Jackson County has less than 2,000 residents.
