2 Injured In Douglas Co. House Explosion
CASTLE PINES VILLAGE, Colo. (CBS4) ―
Two people were hurt after an explosion at a house in Douglas County Saturday evening.
Officials said it happened shortly after 8 p.m. on Hidden Pond Place in Castle Pines Village just off Interstate 25, north of the Castle Rock Outlet Stores.
Officials said the two people were inside the house staining cabinets when there was some sort of flash explosion.
The homeowners were home at the time, but they were not hurt.
The two injured workers were taken to Swedish Medical Center with burns on their hands and faces.
The home was equipped with a sprinkler system and the fire was out before firefighters arrived.
The house sustained mostly water damage.
