Several hundred people gathered Tuesday to remember the Aurora code enforcement officer gunned down last week.
Rodney Morales was doing a routine inspection last Thursday when he was shot and killed.
At the funeral his brother thanked the Aurora community for all their support.
"From our family to yours, we extend our condolences. Everybody's been extending theirs to us, we extend ours to you," Keith Morales said. "He loved you guys."
Aurora Mayor Ed Tauer and many of Morales' co-workers attended the service. They remember him as a man dedicated to his job who worked to make a difference in his community.
The suspect in the shooting, Harry Williams, was arrested Friday night in Denver. Williams is now facing charges of first degree murder.
