Lakewood Man Gets 28 Years For Killing Roommate

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) ― A Lakewood man will spend the next 28 years in prison for murdering his roommate.

Floyd Nuss, 63, was sentenced Friday in Jefferson County. He shot his roommate two years ago and claimed self defense.

Police say Nuss set his roommate up by locking a lock they never used and then waited for the roommate to jimmy the lock.

Investigators later learned Nuss was mad because his roommate owed him money and wouldn't move out.
