Prosecutors say the father of a Colorado airport driver accused in a terror plot against New York City has pleaded not guilty to obstructing the investigation.
An indictment unsealed earlier this month had alleged Mohammed Wali Zazi conspired to destroy and conceal chemicals, glasses and masks. His son, Najibullah Zazi, was charged in September with plotting to attack New York City with homemade bombs.
A previous charge filed in Denver against the elder Zazi -- lying to the government -- was dropped. He appeared Tuesday in federal court in Brooklyn to face the new charge and was ordered held without bail.
There no immediate response to a phone message left with his attorney.
