Aurora Electrician Found Dead In Restaurant Vent
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) ―
An electrician from Aurora was found stuck inside a vent at a restaurant in Steamboat Springs Thursday morning. Police say 49-year-old Michael Goodspeed was trying to get inside the restaurant through the vent after he got locked out Wednesday night.
Goodspeed became wedged in a tapering section of the vent. The Routt County Coroner says it appears Goodspeed died of "positional asphyxiation".
The restaurant is new and has not opened. Police say Goodspeed and two others were spending the night there while working on the restaurant. The other workers saw his feet dangling from the vent Thursday morning.
