Hollywood Needs More Than 1,000 Coloradans

Eddie Murphy Movie Will Be Filmed In Denver

DENVER (CBS4) ― Movie producers are looking for more than 1,000 Coloradans to be extras in the new Eddie Murphy movie. Paramount Pictures will spend two weeks later this month and early next month filming "NowhereLand."

The producers are looking or all sorts of people. The call calls for all types, sizes and ages of people. The casting call also includes a notice that some ice skaters, bsketball players and skateboarders will be needed. And no experience is required.

NowhereLand stars Murphy as a financial executive whose career hits a downward spiral. He eventually retreats into his daughter's imaginary world.

Thomas Haden Church also stars in the movie. It is currently scheduled to open in September 2008.

The open casting calls will be held this Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. each day. The open casting call will be held at the Hyatt Regency Tech Center.

Anyone interested should be sure to take a current photo, although Polaroids will be taken if necessary, and a pen.
