Eagle County Schools Seek Migrant Recruiter
EAGLE, Colo. (AP) ―
The Eagle County School District is looking to hire someone who would be responsible for making sure children in migrant families are able to attend school.
The migrant recruiter and family liaison would be in charge of communicating with migrant families.
The district says family liaisons at Edwards and Avon elementary schools have proven to be assets. Duties include reaching out to Spanish-speaking families, registering kids for school, setting up meetings and helping them adjust to a new environment.
