Douglas County authorities have made an arrest in connection with a break-in and sexual assault.

Earlier in July a man broke into a home in the Stonegate neighborhood near Parker and touched a girl inappropriately.

Tyler Sanchez, 19, of Douglas County, is now in custody facing charges of burglary and sexual assault on a child.

Early Friday morning police responded to a prowler call in the Stonegate neighborhood. They followed up on a license plate of a vehicle seen leaving the area. Officers went to the home where the vehicle was registered and found Sanchez inside.

Authorities say they believe Sanchez is responsible for the sexual assault.
