CDOT: Emergency Repairs Close I-225

DENVER (CBS4) ― All lanes of southbound Interstate 225 were closed before Interstate 25 Monday afternoon for emergency sign repair, the Colorado Department of Transportation said.

CDOT said the repairs were necessary because of an unstable sign structure.

The agency predicted long delays in the area. Drivers were urged to find alternative routes along Parker Road, Hampden, Havana and Belleview.

CDOT hoped to have repairs completed and the road open to traffic by 5 p.m.
