2 Injured In Crash With Fire Truck In Jefferson Co

JEFFERSON CO., Colo. (CBS4) ― Two people were seriously injured Friday when they crashed into a fire truck in Jefferson County.

The crash closed both lanes of Highway 285 near Turkey Creek.

West Metro Fire was responding to an accident when they were hit from behind by an SUV. The two people inside the SUV were airlifted out. The firefighters were not injured.

The SUV's fuel tank burst in the accident and spilled fuel all over the road. Crews had to shut the road down while they cleaned up the spill.
