Denver Police Search For Cold Case Murder Suspect

DENVER (CBS4) ― Denver Police are searching for a suspect in a murder dating back to 1996. Mario Duran is wanted for allegedly stabbing Luis Sanluis, 31, in a stairwell at 600 S. Dayton St. Building 14.

The murder happened on January 6, 1996. Investigators believe the suspect fled to Mexico shortly after that homicide.

Duran is 38 years old, 5' 8" tall, at the time he weighed 140 lbs.

Police believe he is dangerous and urge anyone who may come in contact with him to call authorities, do not attempt to approach Duran.
