Canada Deports Sex Assault Suspect Back To Colo.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) ― A man accused of six counts of sexual assault and internet luring was returned to Colorado Monday.

Matthew Bynum, 24, is accused of contacting girls online in order to lure them to Larimer County, where he allegedly assaulted them.

Investigators say that Bynum, who fled to Canada last fall, was caught at the border.

"When this investigation surfaced, Matthew Bynum apparently fled to Canada in an attempt to avoid prosecution on these charges," Eloise B. Campanella from the Larimer County Sheriff's Office said in a prepared statement.

Bynum is being held at Larimer County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
