Brush Fire That Threatened JeffCo Homes Contained

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) ― West Metro Fire was called to the scene of a brush fire in Hayden Green Mountain Park near Alaska Drive and Fig Way in Jefferson County.

The fire was burring north to northwest into a meadow but has now been contained.

Copter4 flew over the fire and showed it was threatening several homes along the green belt.

A wood fence caught fire as well as the roof on a house. Other houses may have also been damaged. Many homeowners went out on their decks to help fight the fire as it came close to their homes.
