Truck Spills Beer, Fuel Onto I-70 On-Ramp

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (AP) ― A semi truck carrying beer overturned on the ramp from Colorado 58 to eastbound Interstate 70 Tuesday morning, spilling beer and fuel onto the road.

The crashed happened at about 10:30 a.m.

The Colorado Department of Transportation said the ramp is expected to be closed for several hours while the fuel is cleaned up and the undamaged beer is moved to another truck.

The semi will then be up-righted and towed away.

The truck driver was not seriously hurt, but was taken to a hospital.

Traffic was being detoured from westbound I-70 at McIntyre. Drivers that exit at McIntyre can access eastbound I-70 at W. 44th Avenue and Ward Road.
