'Miami Vice' Baby Flamingos Hatch At Denver Zoo

DENVER (CBS4) ― There are some new youngsters at the Denver Zoo.

The zoo recently acquired 19 flamingo eggs from the Miami Metro Zoo in Miami, Florida, and over the last month the chicks hatched.

Six zookeepers have been working around the clock to care for the chicks. They need feedings every three hours.

The come from the same famous Hialeah Park flock as the one seen in the opening credits of the television show "Miami Vice."

The birds will quickly grow to about five feet tall.

It's not clear yet when the young birds will be on public display.
