Man Dead After Auto Pedestrian Accident

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) ― A man died after an auto pedestrian accident Wednesday night.

Police said Steven Green,42, was hit and killed while walking near Parker Road and South Lansing in Aurora. They said a 17-year-old driving an SUV struck the man. The teen called 911 and tried to help. Police added that the area was dimly lit, and that there was no indication that the driver was using a cell phone, speeding or drinking alcohol.

Witnesses said the victim was walking on the street and not on a nearby sidewalk. An autopsy could determine if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the accident.
