A 44-acre animal sanctuary northeast of Denver will be able to stay put thanks to a new loan.
Maxine Mager faced the prospect of moving the animals at her Creative Acres sanctuary to some other site because the land was facing foreclosure, but she said the loan will keep that from happening.
Mager said she got donations from across the country when her plight was publicized.
Creative Acres has about 300 animals including emus, turkeys, pigs, horses and peacocks.
