'A Chorus Line' Still KIcking In Denver Return

DENVER (CBS4) ―

It's the classic musical of dancing and dreams and what some are willing to do for both. The new national tour of "A Chorus Line" is now on stage at the Buell Theater.

"Best thing about 'A Chorus Line?' That's easy. Every time I've seen it, it's seemed brand new," CBS4's Critic at Large Greg Moody said. "Not many shows can say that."

A Chorus Line is 33 years old. Moody says that's ancient history in Broadway years, and yet the show is one of the few revivals that still plays like new. He said it plays that way for a couple of reasons: great music, a great story line of the struggle for a dancers dream, and a fresh cast that brings a new energy to each and every performance.

Moody said most interesting of all, though they've seen it and know it, audiences still love it.

"That is the mark of great theater," Moody said.

A Chorus Line is on stage at the Buell Theater through Saturday, May 17.
