FBI Searches Property For Clues To Missing People

DENVER (CBS4) ― Federal agents have wrapped up a search at a home in Westminster for clues to the disappearance of four people.

Up until 2004, Scott Kimball rented one of the homes on the land, located near 146th Avenue and Huron Street.

Kimball, 41, lived on the property with his uncle Terry, and Scott is a suspect in his uncle's disappearance. He also has connections to the cases surrounding the disappearances of three females, investigators said.

Kimball hasn't been charged in any of those cases, but is in custody on unrelated charges.

A source told CBS4 agents did find potential evidence during Thursday's search of the abandoned property. The FBI on Friday didn't reveal many details about what they may have found.

Detectives drained a septic tank on Friday and also searched a small building on the land.

A neighbor told CBS4 this isn't the first time a police agency has been on the property.

"A year ago they came out and dug up the swimming pool and were looking for evidence then, and now we've been out here for two days with FBI out here," James Scott said.

The fact that the FBI is searching has raised the hopes of the families of the women who disappeared.

Mary Willis, Jennifer Marcum's mother told CBS4 she feels confident Scott Kimball killed her daughter.

Scott Kimball's former wife has been quoted as saying that Scott claimed Terry had won the Ohio lottery and left for Mexico with a stripper.

The FBI is not saying too much on the record, but sources told CBS4 potential evidence has been collected.
