An Adopt-A-Highway sign for the National Socialist Movement

The Colorado Department of Transportation announced Wednesday that there was an error in the processing of the National Socialist Movement's Adopt-A-Highway contract.
The National Socialist Movement, who also calls itself America's Nazi Party, applied to participate in the Colorado Department of Transportation's Adopt-A-Highway program.
"The stretch of highway outlined in the contract was already under contract with another community group. As a result, CDOT contacted both parties and has reached an amicable resolution," Stacey Stegman with CDOT said in a prepared statement.
Stegman said the Elmwood Baptist Church will continue with their previous commitment of adopting US 85 from 144th Avenue to Bridge Street in Brighton.
"Several months ago they also adopted the stretch from 144th Avenue to 136th Avenue," Stegman said.
The National Socialist Movement will now adopt US 85 from Bridge Street to just south of 168th Avenue.
