The Colorado Athletic Club will offer lessons on all kinds of yoga on Saturday to help raise money for the recovery of
Molly Bloom.
Bloom is the East High School graduate who lost her leg in an limo accident on prom night. Bloom's family had to make huge changes to the home to make it accessible for Molly.
Since her injury, the community has thrown a variety of fundraisers to help Bloom, with salons cutting hair and students at East High holding a car wash.
Now the
Colorado Athletic Club will offer "mini-yoga" lessons for $35, and the money all goes to Bloom.
"In her recovery Molly has been so limited in her exercise that Robin, a yoga instructor, has been teaching her yoga and meditation," said Tracy Curtis with the Colorado Athletic Club. "She's really been getting into it. So we thought we would hold a fundraiser centered around something Molly enjoys."
The lessons are a chance to learn about all kinds of yoga, including Yoga from the Heart, Conscious Yoga,
Vinyasa Yoga,
Hatha Yoga, and Mediation. The lessons will last about 30 minutes.
The club will also offer massages for $1 a minute to raise money for Molly and will hold a silent auction. All of the money will go to the Molly Bloom fund.
Molly has already undergone 14 surgeries and there will be more in the future. The money will go to help pay those bills.
The limo driver,
Stanely Sample, is charged with careless driving resulting in serious injury. He is scheduled to stand trail in February.
